Prosperous Web Design: How to Create a Sales Funnel

Imagine being able to run your business and bring in new customers on autopilot. You can spend more time working with people and less on promoting yourself.

If you know how to create a sales funnel, you can make that happen for yourself. From optimizing your free content to promoting your paid offer, consider how you can build your next sales funnel.

Know Your Audience

Before you can determine how to create a sales funnel, you need to know who you want to be in that funnel. Consider your target audience and what they like and don't like. Figure out the wording they use when talking about their problems.

Determine where you can find your audience to market to them. With social media being popular, consider what platform your audience is most likely on, such as Instagram or Facebook. Then, you can set up a profile to promote yourself.

On your website, the best way to share free content is with blog posts. Most website platforms let you set up a blog on your existing website, and you can publish blog posts regularly to share more information. Then, you can promote that content on social media.

Say It Multiple Times

When promoting your product or service on your website, don't be afraid to mention it multiple times. Share your offer in each blog post you write, include the basics on your about page and contact page.

While you can go more in-depth on your service or product page, a website visitor won't always see that. Some people have to see something as many as seven times before they decide to take action and buy from you.

If you only use your service or product page, you would need to attract the same person to that page a lot more. But it can be much easier to share a bit about your offer on your home page and blog, so people won't have to read the same page over and over.

Make Signing Up Easy

Whether you want to funnel people into your email or to buy a service or product, you should make that easy. A good web designer can help people navigate around your website to help achieve your goals for those visitors.

If you want people to book a consultation call, include a link to your booking software on each page. You can also include a contact form or email signup form on each page if that's part of your sales funnel.

Not only can this make it easier for people to sign up or buy from you, but it can also help people see something seven times. Then, you can book more clients or get more people to buy your products sooner.

Create a Landing Page

A landing page is a webpage that you create to promote something, and it typically doesn't have any distractions on it. That way, people can focus on joining your email list or buying your latest product.

You can use your landing page to talk about your offer and answer any questions or objections people may have. The page should have a call-to-action (CTA) to get people to sign up or purchase the item.

A web designer can make the landing page look unique and make sure it's easy to read. They can also design the page to work on desktop and mobile browsers so that people can sign up from any device.

Add Leads to Your Email List

If you don't have any paid offers to promote, you can focus on adding people to your email list. Email marketing can be an essential part of your sales funnel because you can remind people of your offer when you do have one.

You can create a free download to help encourage people to join your email list. The free download could be a short eBook, a workbook, or a checklist. Create something that won't take much time but that also relates to your paid product or service.

Then, you can make sure people want to learn more about that topic. Once you set up your email list, you can promote it on your website. That way, you can attract people to your funnel, and you can stay in touch with them.

Connect to Your Paid Offer

If you offer online piano lessons, you can create a practice checklist. However, creating an eBook on how to buy a violin isn't as relevant and wouldn't attract the right leads to your funnel.

You should use that free content, whether it's a download or the blog posts on your site, to promote your paid product or service. Include links to your paid offers in your emails and blog posts.

Whenever you update your website, make sure the content focuses on your main offer. If you change your offer, start posting new, more relevant blog posts. Edit your about page to reflect the change.

If you happen to offer multiple services, such as piano and violin lessons, create content for both of them. Then, you can target people who want both.
